2022 CONY Expo Capitol Tour Registration

CONY is coordinating with local assistance to include an opportunity to tour the New York State Capitol on Monday, October 31st in the Expo programming.

GATHER TIME/LOCATION: 8:30 SHARP. Lobby, Renaissance Albany Hotel (Five minute walk to Capitol).

TOUR TIME: 9am-10am (new time). Group must pass thru security and gather at tour point 10 minutes before tour start).

About the tour (from the website): Sitting atop Albany’s State Street hill, the New York State Capitol has served as the seat of government for New York since the 1880s. The building is a marvel of late 19th century architectural grandeur, built by hand of solid masonry over a period of 32 years. Highlights of the 45-minute tours can include the legislative chambers, Hall of Governors, Governor’s Reception Room, Hall of New York, historic staircases, and carvings.

The tour is free. Preregistration is required so that we have an accurate accounting of attendees. Please complete a separate form for each person in your group. Cut off date is Friday, October 21st, or when we reach maximum group capacity.

NOTES FROM THE CAPITAL TOUR GROUP CONFIRMATION:
Capitol Visitors Must pass through a security check including either metal detectors or metal detector wands. Go to https://empirestateplaza.ny.gov/security-procedures for more information about security procedures. Unfortunately, they cannot hold personal items for you. Plan ahead so everyone in your group will arrive early enough to go through security before the tour time.

Due to circumstances beyond our control, parts of the Capitol may not be available during your tour.

By registering for a Capitol tour, the tour participant acknowledges that in consideration of being allowed to participate in the Capitol tour offered by the New York State Office of General Services (OGS) that, while OGS will be complying with the CDC Guidance For Low-Risk Indoor Arts & Entertainment During The Covid-19 Public Health Emergency in an attempt to minimize the transmission of COVID-19, participating in an activity with a group of people even with such precautions in place increases the risk of contracting COVID-19, And tour participant knowingly assumes that risk.
