CONY Annual Conference to be held in Lake George This September

Camping and hospitality leaders from across the United States to gather in the heart of Lake George for education, networking, campground tours, and local business events


Campground Owners of New York (CONY) and the Northeast Campground Association (NCA) will welcome campground owners, operators, suppliers, and outdoor hospitality professionals from across the United States to Lake George this fall for the 2026 CONY Annual Conference and NCA Great Escape, taking place September 28–30, 2026.

 

Set in the heart of one of New York’s most iconic destinations, the multi-day event is expected to bring industry leaders from throughout New York, the Northeast, and across the country to the Lake George region for networking, education, collaboration, and exploration of the local campground and tourism community.

 

The event begins Monday, September 28, with the CONY Annual Meeting, a one-day conference focused on celebrating the 2026 camping season while preparing for the year ahead. Attendees will participate in the organization’s annual business meeting, educational sessions, networking opportunities, and discussions focused on trends and planning for the 2027 season. The conference will also feature the presentation of the 2026 Best of Camp New York Awards, recognizing excellence within New York’s campground industry.

 

Following the annual meeting, the Northeast Campground Association Great Escape will continue September 29–30 with expanded networking events, local campground tours, and regional industry collaboration designed to spark new ideas and strengthen campground operations throughout the country.

 

As part of the event experience, CONY and NCA are planning gatherings and networking events at area businesses throughout the Lake George region, helping showcase the area’s vibrant tourism and hospitality community to visiting attendees. Participants will also travel to local campgrounds for guided tours, providing firsthand opportunities to experience campground operations in the Lake George area while sharing innovative ideas and best practices with fellow industry professionals.

Held during the beautiful fall season, the gathering provides campground professionals with an opportunity to recharge, reconnect with peers, and prepare for the upcoming Columbus Day holiday weekend and end-of-season operations.

The 2026 CONY Annual Conference and NCA Great Escape are expected to generate increased visibility and tourism activity throughout the Lake George region while bringing together outdoor hospitality professionals from across the country in one of New York’s most scenic destinations.
