Greenfield Center, New York – Whispering Pines Campsites & RV Park has big plans to celebrate their 30th year in business on June 28th from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. They are hoping to spread the word to not only the residents of Greenfield Center, but to those in the surrounding communities.
“Not only is this a milestone celebration, it’s also a poignant one,” says Kimberly Foro, owner of Whispering Pines. “It is also to honor my husband’s legacy.” Foro’s husband, Scott, was the driving force behind the campground. He died last August after an eight-month battle with cancer.
“My father’s hard work and vision took it from a run down 70 site campground to a thriving 112-site full-service campground,” says Jared Foro, who is helping his mother run the park. “We have big shoes to fill, but we are doing our best to make him proud.”
The celebration will include:
- A free hot dog roast
- Free birthday cake & coffee
- Tours of the park
- Campsite prices rolled back to the 1996 rates
- A chance to win a free weekend of camping
Both Kimberly and Jared have already made some significant improvements, including a new office computer system and renovation of the camp store. A new, live reservation website will be next.
